L’Oreal USA’s new website For Girls in Science has a great section on Career Opportunities where you can learn about different STEM related careers. Choose your focus (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and learn about the educational requirements, average salary and growth from 2011 – 2012.

Summer Research Intern Program |
The Cooper Union is offering a summer internship program for high school sophomores and juniors who are attending school in the five boroughs of New York City. This six week program offers interns the opportunity to work on applied research projects that cover fields such as civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical, biomedical and environmental engineering and chemistry, physics and astronomy. In addition to related lectures and discussions, interns will also participate in workshops on oral presentations, technical writing, career choices and other areas.
At the end of the program, each group presents their work to an invited audience and interns receive a certificate from the Albert Nerken School of Engineering in recognition of their participation.
Learn more about The Cooper Union's Summer Research Intern Program, the requirements and submit your application. The deadline is March 8, 2013 and chosen applicants must attend an Open House on April 26th at 3:30pm.

The American Mathematical Association has created a free poster entitled, " Women Doing Mathematics". It highlights the accomplishments of nine women and has a personal quote from each about their interest in Math. Other resources available are links to learn more about the women featured in the poster and their mathematical work, as well as links to learn more about opportunities and careers in mathematics. |

Women in Aviation, International is a non-profit organization that dedicates itself to encouraging women to seek careers in aviation as well as promoting their advancement in all fields and interests related to aviation careers. Services include educational outreach programs, resources and promoting accomplishments and contributions of women aviators.
Online resources that they offer include: links to colleges and universities, employment and career services; current statistics for women in aviation careers and much more.
